3 cups sugar

1 cup Karo Syrup

1/2 cup hot water

1 egg white

1/8 tsp baking powder

Boil sugar, karo syrup and water until it forms a soft ball

Pour a little bit into the egg white with 1/8 tsp baking powder put the rest back on the stove and cook until it cracks in water. Pour into the egg white mixture and stir until stiff then pour onto a plate.

My grandmother used to make Divinity at Christmas. What a special treat.
